Advertising On A Dead Man

eBay auctions are just getting weirder and weirder. Now there's a guy auctioning off the rights to advertise on his dead body when he does in fact die.

24-year-old Andrew Beutin claims to be in good health, and says that he doesn't have any reason to expect his demise any time in the near future. He does cite some of his "dangerous" habits, however in his item description:

You are bidding for the sole right to advertise on my corpse....as soon as my corpse is discovered and otherwise legally available to you. As the winning bidder you will have the right to advertise on my corpse, definitely during the funeral. You are welcome to photograph the ad after it is finished as well as attend the funeral.

I probably won't die soon but... my risky behaviors include, snowboarding(still highly unskilled), motor scootering (several wipe outs resulting in nasty road rash), bicycling (rode into a telephone pole once on step moms bike 11yrs ago, please dont tell her), running (been hit twice already different drivers), avid climber of things (fell backwards out of barn, stranded on Pike's Peak) and I have aspirations of base jumping, bunjee jumping, running with the bulls in Spain and mixing coke with pop rocks.

So who will be crazy enough to win this auction. Who wants to advertise on a dead guy? George A. Romero? Death metal band Cannibal Corpse perhaps? The Devil?

willohara at ThreadWatch says that GoldenPalace.com is a likely candidate. This is the company that won an auction to advertise through a tattoo on a girl's forehead.

Nobody has bid yet as I write this. I have a hunch that it just might stay that way. Then again, stranger things have happened. I wonder what this guy's family thinks of this.
