Ask Has Seen Akira
As Ask.com drops off some new Smart Answers for the month of February, they also let out a cry of "Tetsuoooooo!" which of course can only be answered with "Kanedaaaaaaa!"
Why yes I do have the collector's tin edition of Akira, thank you for asking. You can also thank Ask for a collection of new information just in time for significant dates this month.
The Smart Answers team at Ask.com blogged about the addition of a couple of new categories. One of them, anime characters, taps right into the geek zeitgeist.
Their other addition, latest news images, draws from wire services like AP Photo to complement searches made for current events. When an image search for a topic like Iraq has news photos available, they will appear atop the image results.
Date-oriented Smart Answers for February will pop up and say hi with certain queries. Some people will be interested in a certain rodent seeing his shadow, while others will be curious about the big game happening Sunday night.
While Smart Answers can help you learn more about Valentine's Day, you might need help from AskCity to make the date special.
Don't be the only person who put off planning for Valentine's Day last year, and end up eating alone at a Perkins near the interstate. Just Ask for some help.
