Google Base Goes Live...Sort Of
After a brief appearance on the Internet and enough time offline to spawn several hundred blogposts everywhere, Google has turned on the "Open" sign for base.google.com.
Welcome to Google Base. Did you bring your Gmail login? If not, you'll have to get one, either via an invite from an existing account holder or by giving Google your cellphone number.
Now that you've got it...well, you still can't login to Google Base yet. My Gmail login works fine, and the Google Account page works fine.
It's not just me. Many commenters at Digg.com have hit the same login page over and over. Looks like the testing phase isn't quite finished yet.
