Yahoo Lookin’ To Dig It, Tag It And Share It
The kids in Sunnyvale filed for a new trademark on the phrase, "Dig It. Tag It. Share It." This new line could well be the beginning of a new slogan for the Yahooligans.
SearchEngineWatch picked up on the new filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Yahoo's been trying to build their market for the youth-oriented demographic and this continues the process.
While Yahoo does enjoy having the number one website consistently, they're still working to build their social network. The purchase of Flickr as well as the creation of MyWeb2.0 was their first major attempt. It stands to reason "Dig It. Tag It. Share It." will be the words to go with that effort.
Right now, the most frequented social network is MySpace and there are the fifth most frequented site on the net behind Yahoo, AOL, MSN and eBay. One can only wonder whether or not this new slogan will help make a difference.
