Tiger Goes To 10.4.1
Apple releases an update to the update to OS X, fixing a variety of little problems and improving the user experience.
Cupertino-based Apple Computer has provided a variety of software fixes to its Tiger OS X release. Available from Apple's web site, the fix covers a number of topics. One fix in Mail allows it to better navigate IMAP paths.
Dashboard widgets, the focus of a minor security issue previously reported, now work better with third-party scroll wheel mice. IDVD had been experiencing a problem where it would quit if someone would hide its window while the software was burning a DVD.
For wireless users, Apple has resolved an issue where a move from one access point to another within the same wireless network could result in the loss of the machine's assigned IP address. This saves users from having to renew the DHCP lease.
Apple Tiger users can find more information online about the 10.4.1 update.
