Yahoo took another search engine leap today by offering a video option when looking through Yahoo's search engine. With video clips from top names like CBS, Buena Vista Pictures(Disney), VH1, MTV and a whole host of others, Yahoo continues to add to their offerings.

The broad offerings will allow researchers to look for a great deal more information than they may have been privy to previously. Content ranges from news clips from CBS News and Reuters to music videos from Country Music Television, MTV.com to VH1.com and movie clips and trailers from IFILM.com. Users can also dig up clips from Home & Garden Television The Food Network as well as the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and the Travel Channel.

Yahoo Video Search provides consumers with a comprehensive source for video on the Web," says John Thrall, head of media search engineering for Yahoo Inc. of Sunnyvale, said in a media release.

This exciting new feature is pretty simple to use. Just choose the video option when using the search engine and type in your whatever you're searching for. If you want video of Pamela Anderson, it's there. John Mellancamp or the video of Dan Rather on the evening it is all there.

Right now, two other companies utilize a video search feature: Blinkx.tv and the ever growing entity known as Google.
