IBM And Israeli Ministry Announce Pact
Armonk-based technology concern and chief scientist of Israeli Ministry Industry, Trade and Labor to collaborate on adoption of open standards solutions in Israel.
IBM will grant technical, marketing, and sales support to Israeli start-up firms; this will help them quickly become On Demand businesses. IBM stands to gain as these businesses would develop their solutions on IBM technology.
"By teaming with IBM, we are providing innovative Israeli companies with access to technology expertise and extensive sales and marketing resources -- all of which are crucial to their success," said Ehud Olmert, Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor, Israel.
Likely candidates for the program will be firms building solutions in the RFID and grid computing areas.
