Microsoft Stiffens Competition With Google And Yahoo
Microsoft the other day unveiled MSN adCenter, which is a paid search advertising system.
This will make the competition even stiffer between the big boys of search (Google, Yahoo, MSN).
"Competition is fantastic," said New York-based search marketing firm 10e20 Web Design president Chris Winfield. "I'm hoping this will lower some of the costs per click. I can't see Microsoft charging as much as Google and Yahoo, at least not in the beginning."
"Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer showed the prototype of MSN's planned paid search system at a conference for online advertisers on the company's Redmond campus. The new ad platform could add one more component in Microsoft's evolving search strategy.
The technology is designed to let advertisers take advantage of the audience information MSN gleans from its users to better target keyword ads." Receive
