Blogging Requires Finding Your Voice
Many successful blog writers believe it's necessary to maintain a true voice, where the real person behind the posting, shines through.
Becoming more than mere words on a screen, as ephemeral as any ghostly spectre, there is a need to find the human behind the curtain.
Australian blogger Heroinegirl of Literally Speaking has written a powerful posting, on the powerful need in life, that "Whatever you do...Stay true".
Heroinegirl believes rightly, that the writer may be very different from the person perceived by the reader. All the reader has, for making an evaluation of the individual, are the words.
The words are not always the person.
As Heroinegirl says, the readers are often unknown to the writer as well.
Bloggers love to talk about themselves to the faceless readers - but you can still retain security and learn how to be a better writer? Learning how to self-publish has been a arduous sometimes harrowing task, the people I have met tremendous - the lessons I have learnt have been priceless. I would be lying if I told that "it's just blogging"
As has been said many times before, blogging is a conversation. Even more, that conversation is usually between two people who have never met in person. They are highly unlikely to ever meet outside of the blog.
As a result, the only way to present a real portrait of the writer is through honesty.
Write what you believe is true, and write from the heart.
Create not only a conversation, but a connection with the reader.
As Heroinegirl says... "whatever you do..stay true".
Your readers will appreciate it and form a stronger connection with you, and with your writings.
