EBay Kicks Off Holiday Charity Auction
eBay kicked off their spectacular holiday charity auction with a special Hummer H2 autographed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and personalized with the winning bidder's name.
Proceeds from the sale of this one-of-a-kind sports utility vehicle went to After-School All-Stars, The Arnold Schwarzenegger Youth Foundation. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the new National Spokesperson for After-School All-Stars, will also be offering some of his time for Arnold's All-Stars, the actor is putting up tickets to the Premiere of his new movie Doom and exclusive time with the star to benefit this incredible organization.
After-School All-Stars, The Arnold Schwarzenegger Youth Foundation, a nonprofit 501, provides comprehensive after-school programs across the nation. Governor Schwarzenegger and the After-School All-Stars share a mission to have after-school programs available to all of the 15 million children who need them by 2010. After-School All-Stars serves inner-city youth through a variety of programs including: academic learning, homework help, service learning, life skills and enrichment activities.
eBay's holiday charity auction, which began November 23, 2004, runs through December 22, 2004 benefiting a variety of charities including Teachers Count, The Magic Johnson Foundation, Leeza Gibbon's Memory Foundation, Keyshawn Johnson's Foundation, and Cher's Foundation. The auction is comprised of an amazing list of one-of-a-kind celebrity experiences and other unique items.
Lucky bidders with a passion for music will have the chance to bid on: tickets and backstage passes to and upcoming Alicia Keys concert, a guitar lesson with Wyclef Jean, a meet and greet with Cher and two tickets to her farewell concert tour, a meet and greet with legend B.B. King, a guaranteed spot to perform at amateur night at the world famous Apollo Theatre, a signed guitar by the performers of Lifetime's "Women Rock" concert, the chance to meet Snoop Dog and many more.
