Google News Blocked By Chinese Authorities

According to media watchdog Reporters Without Borders, China has been blocking the English language version of Google News for 10 days.

This has happened since Google released a Chinese language version in September which removes news reports deemed "politically sensitive" by China.

"China is censuring Google News to force internet users to use the Chinese version of the site which has been purged of the most critical news reports," said Reporters Without Borders.

"By agreeing to launch a news service that excludes publications disliked by the government, Google has let itself be used by Beijing," they stated.

The issue is apparently being looked into by Google.
