America Online and Verizon Wireless have made available AOL Mail on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service.

AOL members can now take their AOL Mail with them to easily stay connected with friends, family and colleagues for just 99 cents per month as part of the introductory offering.

"Instant messaging and e-mail on wireless phones have grown quickly to become a mainstream trend in mobile communications because life doesn't stop at the desktop" said Doug Gardner, executive director, AOL Mobile, America Online, Inc. "With mobile AOL Mail on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service, AOL members will enjoy greater convenience without sacrificing the look and feel of AOL's classic email service."

AOL Mail is available in the Get It Now virtual store and gives AOL members complete, on-the-go access to their e-mail, allowing them to fully enjoy the advantages of e-mail communication beyond the boundaries of desktop computers. More and more, mobile device users want access to their familiar AOL content and services from their wireless phones, including the AOL Mail service. By working closely with partners, AOL is providing value-added services to wireless customers in a convenient and cost-effective way.

"We are very pleased to offer our Get It Now customers the ability to access their AOL Mail from virtually anywhere," said Paul Palmieri, executive director of business development for Verizon Wireless. "With AOL-branded e-mail available on some of our most popular phones, our Get It Now customers have another way to stay connected to friends and family."

With mobile AOL Mail on Verizon Wireless Get It Now-enabled phones, AOL members have an affordable and graphically rich email experience. AOL's partner, Tourmaline Networks, Inc., a leading supplier of wireless email, developed the AOL-branded email service available on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service.
