Ask Jeeves, Inc. announced today that they have extended their relationship with Google as a provider of sponsored advertising links on Ask Jeeves' global search and portal brands through 2007.

The extension renews the agreements with the Company's flagship sites, Ask Jeeves (Ask.com) and Ask Jeeves UK (Ask.co.uk).

"When you consider the proven performance of search advertising, the increased online spending by mainstream advertisers and the possibilities that lie ahead with local search, we believe there continues to be significant growth opportunities in search advertising," said Steve Berkowitz, CEO of Ask Jeeves. "As a leader in the search industry, Ask Jeeves will continue to work to move offline dollars online and grow the search advertising market to its fullest potential."

According to Nielsen NetRatings (June 2004) Ask Jeeves is currently the 9th most visited site on the domestic Internet with more than 32 million unique users.

"In 2003, Ask Jeeves became the place where both the needs of the user and the needs of the advertiser intersected to create a relevant experience," continued Berkowitz. "We look forward to maintaining our partnership with Google as we continue to deliver great experiences to our users while growing the immense opportunity in paid search."
