Ask Jeeves Sees 150 Percent Increase In Web Traffic
With the rights of Interactive Search Holdings properties (Excite.com, iWon.com, myway.com, to name a few) well in hand, Ask.com has seen its overall web traffic increase by 150 percent. According to a comScore web rankings report, through Ask's acquisition of ISH properties, Ask Jeeves jumped 18 spots to assume the number 6 ranking.
During May 2004, Ask received 15.7 million visitors. That number increased to 39.2 million only a month later. According to DMNews, Ask.com and its ISH holdings accounted for 6 percent of Internet searches done during May, an increase of 42 percent from the previous year.
Ask Jeeves completed the purchase for the rights to ISH in the early part of May 2004. The acquisition is the primary reason for Ask's substantial increase in web traffic. Receive
