Microsoft Offering New ASP.NET Exam
Under more normal conditions, this article would begin by citing the concepts of bettering oneself and/or getting a raise. Today, the ideas still apply, but given the economy's wretched condition, there's also the matter of just keeping a job. A new ASP.NET exam from Microsoft will hopefully help in all these areas. How To Increase Your Newsletter Reader Feedback
Do you consider yourself customer-friendly? Always looking to start the conversation-or continue it? You might be surprised to find that a common practice is undermining any friendly sentiment your e-mail recipient might receive. I'm talking about donotreply@ e-mails. Often, with today's smartphones and e-mail preview panes and popup alerts, the sender's name and first lines of the e-mail are your first impression coming through the inbox door. Directory:

We always knew that someone had to be clicking on enlargement emails and not only that, someone had to actually be buying that crap. Making An ERP System Your Own
A while back, I was in my corporate office reviewing some of the new functionality that was recently added to our Enterprise 21 ERP software. I have pretty much worn out my cry of ‘SMB's are under served' in the search marketing world. Replication is a way to run several SQL servers so that all of them have a current copy of a database or databases. Micro-messaging Lessons For Enterprise 2.0
The huge success of Twitter has triggered a number of firms (e.g., QikCom, Yammer, and Present.ly) that now provide micro-messaging for use behind the firewall. This is yet another example of a personal web 2.0 tool creating a market for an enterprise 2.0 version. I recently spoke with Travis VanderZanden, Founder and CEO of QikCom. Travis and I agreed that while Twitter is a great tool for personal use, it is not designed for use inside the enterprise and does not have the security required for these conversations just like Facebook and YouTube. The OS Race: Who's burning out next?
If you belong to the "Linux Community" bandwagon, you may just have a different opinion on the fact that there are lessons to be learned from Windows and Mac! Linux community does enjoys some real good evangelism despite having a minuscule user base. Social Media Is Still Evolving As A Business Tool
I was relieved to see the following reaction from the first day's crowd when PubCon's Brett Tabke asked if people had seen an increase in their business and about 50% of the crowd raised their hands. When asked if they felt that it would increase in the coming year it looked like about 75% of the folks (out of hundreds and hundreds) were positive. Only about 4 or so people were willing to admit they were worried. Are the numbers skewed? Of course they are. They are numbers. The idea is that at least people want to ACT positive. Indexing Your Site In 48 Hours
I have been bombarded with emails lately from people asking me how to quickly get a new site in Google, so this post is for those of you with new sites or old sites that need some new love. Typically when I create a new website I see it indexed the day I post it, and I have seen sites get indexed within 1-2 hours of their creation. While getting indexed quickly is always fun, just remember that being in the index doesn't necessarily mean you will rank for any valuable keywords, or even for the name of your own site for that matter. Similarities Of Outsourcing & Open-Source
Open-Source community and Outsourcing are poles apart, but the most striking thing they have in common is the dependence on their modes of communication. The Open-Source development communities rely more on the asynchronous modes of communication such as e-mails, online forums, discussion sites, bug trackers as compared to the synchronous modes of communication such as phones, chats etc. used by Outsourcing personnel. Is SanDisk Micro Storage For Music Needed?
This might seem confusing, but in a world where more and more people are obtaining music through digital means, notably the iTunes Music store, a consortium of music companies have introduced a new physical music distribution format called SlotMusic.
