How PPC Can Help This Music Site
I use Overture, Sprinks and Google Ad Words, and my main keywords are: the guess who, harry manx, valdy and randy bachman, to name a few. They are generating traffic but sales are very low. So low I haven't bothered doing an ROI calculation. Your assessment would be most welcome.

Online Pawn Shop: Boosting Rolex Sales With PPC
I read in WebProNews that you might do this for some of us. We welcome anything you can possibly offer on our "unfortunately" FRAMED site. Our owner is just adamant that he wants to keep it that way. I've utilized the "no frames" tag on the index page and copy and paste the entire real page there as well as on the real page. I've cut down our keywords to about 12 of them...but we are a pawn shop and sell so many things that I just about CAN'T narrow them down to 3. We gotten listed in the engines all over the place for the public information pages I've created, and that helps...but I just can't seem to get much action on the ones like pre-owned Rolex watches and jewelry. Thanks for considering it.

Will We All Have To Pay To Get Listed?
I got your name through WebProNews. We currently have several domain names registered. However only a couple that are used everyday. We have never had to pay to advertise because I have a full time web page developer and she also does all the search engine submitting. We are always in the top 1-5 on all search engines (unheard of unless you pay). We have noticed that on overture it looks like we are going to have to pay to get listed. Is this something that everyone is going to have to do eventually? Maybe on all search engines or just the ones overture owns?

The Pay-Per-Click Strategy That Works
Here's a PPC keyword strategy you might want to consider: Phase I Use highly relevant keyword phrases of at least 2 words. Try to find as many as possible. The limitation here is that you will not be able to find them or get enough clicks on the ones you do find. In some industries these keywords will be sufficient to make your campaign successful and you will go no further. This is where most people have a problem, they are cannot find enough keywords and people are not finding your site. This is the biggest wall to overcome.

Linking Campaign Increases Google PageRank
A client recently contacted me pointing out that their linking campaign was starting to pay off handsomely by gaining links at a nearly astounding rate of about 200 a week! He asked how he could be certain that those sites that linked to his were spidered and indexed by the search engines, thereby increasing his PageRank™ at Google. Those of you who'd like a primer on PageRank™ can visit the following URL's to learn more.

Secret #1 Cut Out The Excess Does size really count? Not in this case! Smaller can actually be more effective in the long run. Yes, you can actually cut down the size of your ad and run it more often to receive better results in most cases. The size of your ad does not produce the consumer confidence that consistency does! This first secret alone will save you tons of lost marketing dollars.

7 Great Readers' Sites
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of writing content reviews for a small number of web sites, some of which needed a bit of assistance. Following the review, I was overwhelmed with an avalanche of requests from other web site creators asking for content reviews of their sites. As I tackled the challenge of evaluating the number of sites submitted, I was pleasantly surprised to discover phenomenal services, products and ideas that truly deserve applause, but more importantly I discovered numerous sites that illustrate the use of good web site content.

WebSite Marketing for Artists
I do have a "dental-floss" budget idea or two, but they might be geared more towards artist types than tech types. :) 1- Hobby Lobby stores often have classroom space for little to no cost. Take one night a week to teach a creative class of some kind there. Incorporate some of the classwork into special pages of the website for students to do during the week, which will not only increase your traffic, but it can also give your site a more "legitimate/professional" edge. This costs you little to nothing, and in some cases, you can charge for the classes you teach. (Wow! getting paid to advertise your site! :) )

Check Your Statistics - It Can Save Your Traffic!
When I check my site statistics - I get a WEALTH of information - you need to check your stats out, too - you can reclaim lost traffic, find out the sites people go to most, and better your traffic. For instance, when I look at the "errors" information, I see sites people "tried" to go to but found there to be no site, or perhaps tried to send an email to a wrong address - you can now make a copy of a real page and save it as the error page, or rename it on FTP and then upload the real page back.

Internet Marketing - Doing It Like The Big Guys Do It
When I brainstorm with clients on how to improve their on-line businesses, one of the things I always ask myself is what are my struggling clients doing differently than the big on-line successes? That generally holds the key to them improving their businesses. Today I thought I would share with you some insights into what the "Big Guys" do that the struggling internet marketers usually don't. Some of these things may seem obvious. However, many people observe the obvious, realize what they need to do, and then do nothing. Those who succeed act upon their observations.

Internet Marketing: Do the Math, You May be Surprised!
There are several types of media to consider when mapping out an Internet marketing campaign. Some of the more popular candidates include pay-per-click (PPC) listings, PPC banners, banners based upon impressions, e-mail, search engine positioning, and link exchanges. Choosing between the different alternatives can be a daunting task. Regardless of which media you are considering, it pays to sit down with a calculator and do the math - and you may be surprised!

the Google "Snippet" System in Action
Dear Dan, My name is Brandon Stone. I'm senior tech and webmaster for a company called Martin Yale Industries. We manufacture office and graphics equipment. I took over the company website about a year ago. It had previously been ignored for about five years. So, I went out and bought a copy of FrontPage and taught myself to build webs. I have been building for about 2 years now, and have had a lot of success in the search engines. Thanks to WebProNews, that is. Without WebProNews, I don't think that I would be anywhere near as keen as I am. I definitely don't think my company would be #1 for "desktop graphics equipment" in Google.

Guerilla Research With Web Site Audiences
In the world of web site development, there is a popular pastime and it’s not baseball. It’s the inevitable debate that arises regarding the content of a web site. Prior to cognitive maps and paper-based prototypes, there is the traditional imbroglio: “The client wants this feature on the site,” or “the marketing department thinks that this would be a cool function.” Within the project team, everyone has an opinion. What’s missing from the debate? It’s not what – it’s whom: The Audience.

Do Homemade Sites Sell Better?
Here are some of the considerations when choosing whether or not you will build your own site: 1. Is it going to have a shopping cart? If you are going to have a shopping cart, you need to have someone else build it unless you do this kind of thing every day. There are just too many ways to mess things up to do it yourself.

3 Covert Selling Tactics!
1) Give People A Sample Give away a free sample of your product. You will gain people's trust when you allow them to try out a free sample of your product. If they like it they won't hesitate buying it. Your sample should only give them a small taste of what's in it for them if they buy.

Unbiased Step-by-step Guide on Web-Hosting
No more speeches about importance of your own domain, no more talks about necessity of having paid hosting. If you think your brand domain name and stable hosting with a number of features and absence of ads are not worth, at least, $50-$150 per year, then you probably want to play games, rather than build online business.

Blog Your Business
Does your business need a blog? A blog is a Web log, an online journal. Blogs started out as online diaries, in which diarists shared their everyday lives with the world. From their beginnings as a weird Web fad in 1998, blogs have moved on, and are well on the way to becoming a standard business tool.

$10 Per Click (do they know something we don't?)
I have utilized pay-per-click (PPC) advertising since its inception about two years ago. With PPC, the advertiser is only charged when a person actually clicks on their link. The amount you actually pay for each click is referred to as the cost-per-click (CPC). I've got to admit, I was pretty leery at first. But since then I've watched the price of certain search engine keywords skyrocket in excess of $10 per click! The big question isn't how much it costs per click but how many clicks does it take to get an acquisition. I've often asked myself, why would so many companies pay that much money for one single, measly, push of the index finger? The answer is simple - it just works!
