Is link pop software any good or worth it? Like ARELIS 3 or OptiLink?

Thanks,
Alvaro (Al) Guevara

Al:
First of all, let me say that there's nothing these programs do that you can't do by hand. They are simply designed to help you do it faster. I don't use either one right now, but I would consider Arelis if I had a site launch coming up and needed to find link partners.

I've tried Arelis, and it seems to help in finding other sites that actually swap links. Arelis also builds your link directory for you, which can be a big time saver if you don't have any software to automate that part of your site.

Although I like Arelis, I would just caution you that it can be misused. Don't send out bulk invitations to swap links, even if the software seems to make it easy. Always make the invitation personal, and always add their link to your site first.

I don't recommend Optilink, partly because they run automated queries on Google (which Google doesn't like), and partly because I don't see tweaking links as an effective use of time. Your mileage may vary.
