fauzi's Kindness Marketing Story

By fauzi

Article Date: 01.21.03

I once had a banner advertising offer on my website via pop-up. There's this one guy who had paid me first via paypal for putting his banner on that Pop-up. He had earlier purchased from me so he make the payment to me directly via paypal and at the same time sending his banner html code.

When I put his banner code it didn't work. So I email him back telling him about it and ask for a new banner code that work. But he didn't reply me back for quite sometime ( 2-3 weeks maybe ). I decided to email him telling him I want to return his money back. But he didn't reply so I just return his money through paypal and waited ..and waited for him to click the accept link that paypal send him.

This too receives no response. I was beginning to think this guy was dead or something since he didn't even want his money back. But he finally email me back and thanks me for informing him about the banner code that didn't work and for returning the money to him. He was so happy he became my regular customer!

I think Kindness Marketing should be an integral part in doing business online since you don't meet a person face to face for business and you don't know if you at least can get your money back if something happens during that business deals. People are still wary about spending money online and sending people money without knowing if they'll get what they had paid for. Trust is truly important in building a relationship with a customer. Once trust is earn. Residual income are assured too. I believe regular customer is the order of the day. Retained your existing customer and you will earn retained income.
