Regina Kahney's review of inexpensivescrubs.com
Regina Kahney's review of inexpensivescrubs.com

The owner mentions the high pay-per-click cost of advertising on Overture. I suggest she try the other, 400-pound gorilla of PPC -- FindWhat.com.

Minimum pay-per-click there is only $.01, versus $.05 at Overture, and there's no monthly minimum. FindWhat also distributes its search database to many affiliates, including News.com, NBCi.com, Dogpile.com, Metacrawler.com, Mamma.com and Cnet.com, Excite.com, Webcrawler.com, GoHip.com and Infospace.com. To appear in any of these search engines, you need to be within FindWhat's top 3, 5, or 10 results (varies depending on affiliate).

DogPile, GoHip and Infospace only display $0.02 bids and higher. Excite.com displays $0.04 bids and higher. (These figures are straight from the horse's mouth -- a client rep at FindWhat). A quick check of Inexpensive Scrubs' competitors on FindWhat shows that as of 6 AM EST today, she could be in the top 3 at FindWhat for $0.14 per click.

Currently she's paying $.27 per click to be #12 on Overture, where the top 3 bids range from $1.16 to $0.83. Finally, she can quickly clone her FindWhat bids to the new Lycos InSite pay-per-click system. There is a $50 minimum to set up an account there, and a minimum bid of $0.05.

Best,

Regina Kahney
