Google Base Adds RSS Button
If it's news to Search Engine Watch, then it's probably news to lots of people. For SEW's Barry Scwartz, it just caught his eye and nobody else seem to know about it.
Google Base results pages are now displaying an RSS button. Scwartz points to this clinical trials search to illustrate the new arrival that allows users to subscribe to Google Base results sets.
Google Base already allows RSS bulk uploads of product information to the site, which recently absorbed Froogle.
With the addition of the subscription prompt, users can be updated with new product uploads, job postings, and other newly arriving information.
The Google team gives a complete tutorial on XML file creation for Google Base in the RSS 2.0 format.
