Yahoo Toasts To Global Answers
Nearly a week after Yahoo! launched its "Ask the Planet" promotion for its Yahoo! Answers service, the company posted a reminder about the additional languages the service would include - and girl drink recipe to go with it.
"We've expanded our international presence to nine additional markets and in five new languages," writes senior product manager Lesley Kao. "In addition to our existing sites in US, UK, Canada, Australia, and India, we now have Yahoo! Answers in: Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Singapore.
"In these newly launched markets, where the number of documents in the web index is simply not as large as the English-speaking markets, Yahoo! Answers is an especially powerful means of tapping into the global community to share and exchange knowledge and to change what it means to search."
The Yahoo! product management team also provides a drink recipe for a cocktail called "The Best Answer," which includes two types of vodka, two liqueurs, heavy cream and chocolate. You can bet this becomes the new cocktail that sends ladies rushing to the toilet at the end of the night - the ones that contain dairy products usually do.
"No, that's the Toasted Almond," says David Utter.
