If Tokyo Broadcasting System, Inc. screams at the ravaging intentions of the pirate Rakuten, Yahoo Japan Corp. may become the fair television company's white knight. It's so romantic!

Japan Today reports that Yahoo Japan and parent company Softbank Corp. said it would consider becoming a "white knight," or friendly shareholder if TBS asks them, in order to block the advances of an aggressive rival suitor, Rakuten, Inc., who has quietly acquired 20% interest in the company.
