Yahoo And Google Consider Merger?
Lots of fun to be had today, but we're hearing rumors that Yahoo and Google are getting ready to announce a merger.
We're trying to confirm, but we've heard it from some reliable sources and it's even being mentioned over at the Search Engine Watch forums.
Sources suggest that a Letter of Intent might have been signed between the two companies yesterday, but an announcement won't come until Monday at the earliest (to avoid any suggestions that this may be an April Fools prank).
This could likely be one of the largest mergers of the decade and one that would make it impossible for other search engines to catch-up.
We'll get back to you soon with more details.
UPDATE: Danny Sullivan breaks his embargo to bring more details on the Yahoo/Google merger.
Editor's Note: I wonder if Google Gulp will be included in the potential Yahoo/Google merger?
