Mini-Marketing - Before You Get Started.
Promotion of your business is essential to its growth; this we know. But for many of us the frustration is where to go from there. Here are some simple starter tips to keep in mind:
1. Demographics - your target consumer.
These are the people you know will be interested in your product or service. Once you have that established make a list of places they frequent, publications they read, and websites they may visit etc. This is where you want your flyers, business cards, ads, etc.
2. What is your advertisement budget?
This is important to decide upfront. How much are you willing to spend weekly? Monthly? Yearly on the promotion of your business? Then you can decide how to spend that budget. You options include banners on websites, car decals, newsletters, classifieds; the list is endless.
3. Be excited about your business and others will be too!
A little enthusiasm goes a long way. Don't be afraid to share, talk to others!
4. Be informed.
